The McFarlin Story

In the Late 1940’s, the McFarlin family settled in Tulare County in the bucolic town of Orosi, CA.  Orosi is situated not far from the foothills of the magnificent Sequoia National Park.  Over eighty years later, their descendants still farm the land there. Three generations of family farmers have upheld the commitment of naturally grown, pesticide free product for their surrounding community.

The story begins with Lowell McFarlin who set up the initial farming operation by growing crops of tomato, alfalfa, and corn.  Lowell’s son, Cliff, continued in his father’s footsteps growing food for his family with also adding an almond crop to sell to the local community.

The era of naturally grown, pesticide free produce began in the mid 1990’s with the addition of Cliff McFarlin’s sons joining the ranks and solidifying the family heritage.  Presently the farm is solely under the care of Clifford and his son Matthew McFarlin who have greatly expanded their product offerings.  While tomatoes can still be found, they have been joined by numerous varieties of citrus, kiwis, blueberries, cherries, persimmons, apples, pears, pomegranates, grapes, and pomegranate juice.

The McFarlin Family Farm now serves customers across California through farmers markets and grocery providers. They are continually dedicated to offering the best in naturally grown food to their customers.
